nicole & tyler | maternity

I think Nicole and Tyler will be one of my luckiest clients of the year because not only did they book last minute but they picked a great day to meet! And considering how unpredicable and somewhat ugly the weather has been over the past few weeks it is always considered lucky if you get decent weather on your original meeting day.  It was just about raining (not quite full rain but the misty variety) but we persevered and I love the results. These two were absolutely wonderful and just so excited to meet their first baby. Me too!! See you again VERY soon.

preeti & tray | maternity

How can you not adore Preeti?!? She arrived to her mid-November maternity session in a gorgeous dress. I was bundled up in a warm coat and mittens and she was out there braving the chilly winds. Tray was pretty courageous too as he had to match Preeti’s sense of style; and I love the results. Both were amazing to work with and so much fun. I am super excited to hear (and eventually meet) their first baby who’s due date is right around the corner. Good luck Preeti & Tray!!

the b family | Babies & Families

We cancelled three sessions (I think it was three – I lost count) due to the poor weather we had all through October so when it was finally time to get together with this amazing family for their session, we made the absolute best of it. We hit one of my personal favourite spots and had a ton of fun. I always love seeing the little ones as they grow but also reconnecting with the parents. I adore hearing all of the stories and sharing in just a short time of their lives. Little Miss M was such a ham and really is growing to be a sweet little girl. Can’t wait to see her and you both again!

beckett | babies & families

Love little Beckett. He is all smiles and giggles and was so ready to get into anything and everything in my studio. The S family is another one I have been lucky enough to capture through the years and it is so fabulous having the chance to reconnect and see what new adventures they have in store. Beckett is already 8 months old and is as busy as can be. We had to work fast to capture a few sweet images as his teeth were bugging him (teething sucks!) but he did very well and still gave us lots of giggles when we finally found the right trick to impress him. Babies definitely keep you on your toes!

sebastien | babies & families

Before you have children everyone always tells you how fast time flies once you do have kids. You know this is true, but seeing as it does go by that quickly you hardly think about it. My personal life is the same way. I cannot believe that I have a three year old and I frequently think back and wonder what we did in all that time. But I always get a huge dose of reality when clients bring their babies back for sessions when it seemed like only yesterday they were having their engagement sessions and planning for their big day. I feel like Shauna and Seth are old friends now. I have been privledged enough to capture their wedding and pregnancy and then when their first baby was born. I saw their little guy only a few months ago for his six month session and so the fact that he is now approaching one years old should bot be so surprising to me. But alas, it is. He is SO full of energy and still looks just like when he was just born, only a tad bigger.;)I love that I was able to capture him once again for his cake smash session (even though he wasn’t all that impressed with the getting messy part) as well as capture a few family shots to make the special milestone in his life. Can’t wait to see what the next year brings for this awesome threesome!

I’ve also included two images of the amazing cake they brought to their session. YUMMY! Created by Natalie of Natty Cakes (www.nattycakes.ca). Not only was it a good looking cake, was it ever tasty!
