baby k – 7 days | newborns

I had been awaiting the arrival of this little peanut for what felt like forever. I have only known his happy new parents for a few months but feel like I have gotten to know them so well during our recent sessions and I loved hearing all about the excitement and anticipation as they awaited the their first baby. We had booked a session even before he was born as momma was supposed to have a scheduled c-section, seeing as he was breech and seemed to have no intention of turning. But lo-and-behold on the day of his planned arrival, they discovered that he had turned and now they just had to wait it out. I thought for sure momma would be waiting awhile longer, but again I was surprised as he was born not two days later. And at home non the less! Momma got everything she had dreamed of; a home water birth. Not bad in my opinion.:)So of course his horseshoe shaped birthmark is super fitting and suits him perfectly. At only 7 days he slept like a dream and was sooooo sweet. I cannot wait to see him again as he grows! xx

baby s – 18 days | newborns

I was so excited to meet this little guy. His mom (and dad) are my chiropractors and have been a Godsend for me this past year and so when I learned they were expecting their first baby, I was overjoyed! Their little boy made them wait as long as possible to meet him though and arrived 10 days late. He was totally worth the wait though and is as sweet as they come and just SO curious and so content. LOVE!

The Y Family | Babies & Families

It was such a treat seeing this little guy again. He has grown SO much since the family’s last session and is everything a one year old should be: curious; cautious; sweet and super adorable. His cake smash session was not quite as mom had hoped for (he REALLY did not want to get his hands gooey from the cake) and worked really hard at shoving it aside at any chance he had. B no matter what, it was a great session and such a pleasure to see everyone again.

miss amanda | maternity

I had the privilege of photographing Amanda again recently as she awaits her first baby and it was so fun. Her first maternity session was only weeks ago but after seeing how much baby grew after her session, she wanted to visit the studio once again for some more images to show off her gorgeous curves. I love how pregnant women truly do glow (even though when you are pregnant you are certain that it is just sweat making you “glow”) and Amanda was the perfect model. LOVE. I cannot wait to meet their new baby boy in just a few weeks!!

I am presenting her images as thumbnails (just click on them to open) as many are semi-nudes. They are GORGEOUS though so open open open!

the s family | maternity

This family was so much fun and just so sweet. I always love seeing how parents interact with their children and how much fun they can have just hanging out together doing simple things. The little guy that currently rules this household was a mix of everything amazing about little boys; he was sweet, daring, adventurous, crafty and man was that little guy fast! We got lucky and were able to catch him a few times to get some relaxed and natural family images only weeks before this family welcomes their next little one into the world. I cannot wait to meet him!
