the R family | family

It was such a treat to photograph the R family. Not only are they close neighbours of mine (we live in the same townhouse complex and are on the same “street”) but their little guy is only a few weeks older than my Charlotte and since we all hang out in front of our houses socializing as the kids play, we have gotten to know one another well over the past year. Charlotte actually asks about Sam ALL THE TIME and apparently he does the same. So cute! So it was such an honour to be asked to capture some family shots for them before the arrival of their next baby, which is due in only 3 weeks! Jamie looks amazing for being 37 weeks pregnant and Sam just adores that yet-to-be-born sibling. It was hard to get him to stop talking to his momma’s tummy. I cannot wait to capture the family of 4 in just a few short weeks!

amanda & matthew | maternity

I LOVE when a client is just so eager to have their images taken. Amanda was just brimming with excitement about the arrival of their first baby and she could not wait to get into the studio for a session to show off her gorgeous belly. We had tons of fun creating some stylized images in the studio before heading outside capture a different look. I am loving the diversity of the session and cannot wait to photograph their new arrival in only a matter of weeks.

More teasers are to come! I just couldn’t wait to post even just a few.;)

Kara was just as sweet as could be. Perfectness in every way. At just about 7 lbs she was super teeny but still had the most adorable chubby cheeks and a few pudgy rolls. She was not interested in being posed much so we kept the session very simple and allowed her to just relax and capture her newness as she slept. Her big brother was so sweet as well and you can just tell he is already taken with his little sister. Thanks to J & H for sharing your newest love with me.:)

Another amazing session! Caris is the perfect new addition to the L clan and boy-oh-boy is she ever sweet. I photographed mom & dad when they were married back in 2008 and then their first little one two years ago, so now to also get the chance to photograph their first daughter was just awesome. Caris was a sleepy little darling for the whole session and didn’t even flinch when big brother decided to cheer whenever we finished singing a song. I think she’s going to be super laid back and will fit beautifully into the craziness. Thank you so much for sharing your newest love with me. xx
